My light, my bliss, my reward
My sweet angel of solitude,
Thou art the one to whom I go forward,
Thou who never does entrude,
To thee I enthrust my sweetest rest.
At the end of day’s haste
I forever return to thee,
Always to feel thine soft lips taste,
Till, like a poor prisoner to thy kiss,
I crave it, I have no other joy, just waste.
But look, hither my bitter misfortune
Has come and in thine silver eyes
No more love art so far; none.
The dashing inauspicious stars,
Have taken thy love from mine life.
So now that our love has gone and withered
And I no more see thy so fair face at night,
I walk the path of man, away from thy cruel sky.
But still am not alone, had thee, myself banished
I have fallen in sweetest arms, true lovers embraced.
For I see my fair pair, looks of heaven,
But with earthly essence, body and soul.
Whoms smooth angelic amourous kisses
Are far better than thy, deaths maiden,
For I no more desire my sweet angel of solitude.
